Can you imagine the sound of countless shorelines crashing in unison, or the thunder of Niagara Falls? Scripture often describes the voice of God with sounds like these—vast, resonant, alive.
Formed from patinated drum cymbals, this cascading piece reflects both the power and peace of that divine voice. I’m drawn to cymbals for their oceanic swells and crashes. I wanted to create a visual piece that your spirit can almost hear.

Each cymbal fragment has been patinated so that, over time, its surface will continue to shift—deepening into more aquatic hues as the piece ages.
Notice the depth. Cymbal fragments cascade downward, each one hovering just off the sandy backboard, allowing light and shadow to give the piece its sense of flow.
